My Health Journey

Day 14

Day 14

Hi everyone!

It’s been 2 weeks ago now since my life got turned upside-down and I’m doing so much better!

When I’m released tomorrow, I’ll be wheelchair bound, but doing physical and occupational therapy twice a week at a rehab clinic that has a neuro team. There’s no way to know the future, but everyone expects that I’ll likely make a full recovery someday, based on the severity of my symptoms and the rate of my recovery so far. Only God knows, but I know I’m in good hands with Him. 😊

Yesterday Mark tagged along on my therapy sessions to learn how to help me do stuff at home to keep working towards healing. I’m getting so much stronger and look forward to getting home and learning how to live as normal a life as I can for this season.

At this point I’m just really looking forward to celebrating Caleb’s bar mitzvah on Saturday and his birthday on Sunday! 🥳 It’s hard to believe we almost have 3 teenagers. 🤯🤯 If you’re a local friend, you are welcome to join us for his bar mitzvah at The Bridge, Saturday at 11am, and we are hosting an open house for him that evening at our home – everyone welcome. I know it’ll be an exhausting day for me, but I can’t wait to see all my friends and family again! Goodness, I’ve missed you all. 💕

I also want to take a moment to thank everyone who has prayed for me and everyone who has blessed our family with meals, prayers, and love over this crazy couple of weeks. Words just can’t express how blessed we’ve been by so many people. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🥰😭

I’ll keep posting updates here as I get home and as things keep developing, but it might be a bit less frequent as I’m sure my day-to-day life is going to be more demanding when I go home. 😉😁

Have a great week!
Judy

(Side note: Facebook and Instagram closed my accounts with no warning, reason, or recourse. I’m flabbergasted and angry, as I was using that to connect with many of you who were following my progress. Anyway, I created a new Instagram account and I’ll be posting life happenings there. If you know me in real life you can send a friend request. My user name is liferichlylived.)
