On Wednesday morning, Judy was experiencing some back and abdomen pain and a weak right foot. She drove to meet a friend for breakfast and the pain got worse as she drove. She ate breakfast with her friend and as breakfast continued, she realized first that her left leg skin was desensitized, then that her right leg was totally numb. Her friend took her to the ER where she was admitted and given a bunch of tests. Long story short, it was eventually believed that she has Guillain Barré Syndrome which has caused paralysis in her left side from the waist down. She began antibody treatment that night and will be in the hospital for at least 5 days, more if needed. The family appreciates everyone’s prayers and love as they navigate this unexpected journey!
